9/20/2007 Tax Abatement Unfair It is just not fair that Nexus doesn't have to pay taxes when the rest of us do. I don't know how the city council thinks they can get away with giving them tax abatement when none of the people are in favor of it. Our taxes are already too high now and now there is the school referendum which will raise our taxes even more. Why don't the mayor and councilmen see this? If they want to save the school and the town they should just make Nexus pay taxes. It is unfair to eveyone else if they don't. Pat |
